At the meetings, we may have a guest speaker or have a group discussion about issues involving Deafness or Blindness. We even have fun and play group games where everyone can be involved. From time to time a group trip somewhere may be planned such as a picnic or field trip. Interpreters are available at our gatherings upon request ahead of time.
We meet at the Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired in person. Zoom may sometimes be available.
Our meetings begin at 9:30 and end at 12:30.

If you know of someone with both a hearing loss AND vision loss, please tell them about SASISTL.
You can volunteer to help at SASISTL meetings and events. While at the meetings, our volunteers can help those who are hard of hearing to understand what is being said. Those who use sign language, we have volunteers who know sign language and can interpret for them. Volunteers can also guide someone to a chair or help describe any visual information that is helpful.
